The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
